THE FOLK VICTORIAN CHRONICLE
A restoration told chapter by chapter
PART I
Giving an Old Home a New Beginning
Every restoration needs a starting point. For this little Folk Victorian, that meant beginning beneath the house itself—lifting it from the ground, building a new foundation, and carefully reconstructing the framework that would carry it into its next chapter.
Along the way, we began returning something equally important: the proportions, details, and character that had slowly disappeared over more than a century.
Chapter One
A New Beginning: Lifting the House and Building a Foundation
What began as a foundation replacement quickly became something more—an opportunity to rebuild, expand, and reimagine the home from the ground up.
Chapter Two
Framing the Future: Building the Structure for Another Century
As the structure took shape, precision became everything, ensuring that every wall, line, and detail was built with balance and intention.
Chapter Three
Framing the View: Restoring the Home's Original Character
Restoring the home’s original window proportions brought back more than light, it began to restore its character. As openings were reframed to their original size, the house slowly started to look and feel like a Folk Victorian once again.
